The End Is Nigh?

Hello blog, long time no see…

Sorry bout that, been busy at work and any other nights where I’m not on game I’m usually lifting weights between PS3 games…

Several small updates and a few big ones.

First of all, the small ones

• Quit my Sea LS
• Quit my Lv75 WAR (took out all my Great Axe merits.)
• Quit my Lv75 SAM (Gekko eventually got boring)
• Started leveling my MNK again, it’s now Lv72, about 19,000 exp tnl…

Now for the larger ones…

• Bob quit game.
• Bob Quit Game.
• BOB QUIT GAME!

As you can see I’m traumatized at the departure of the guy that got me into the world of Final Fantasy XI.

I’m actually incredibly tired, so I’ll try keeping this post as short and sweet as I can.

My Social LS: Reckless Abandon, have managed to almost finish up our entire quota of Swift Belts, with only 1-2 members still requiring one (missions providing).

In the interim period, myself and Maruk obtained a Soboro Sukehiro, making things fun for a while.

My LS’s CoP group has reached the final chapter of Chain’s of Promathia, and we’ll soon be working on the Treasures of Aht Urhgan line.

On top of that, a good friend of mines, Kenjetsu (Kyle), has successfully lead the Linkshell from rank 1 to rank 10 in Bastok, completing the set for a few members.

Man, it’s been over a month since I last posted here? whit?!

Oh well, just a short post here to let you all know that yes, I am still alive.

I must’ve been asleep most of that time lol, work sucks and not much has actually happened for me on FF…

Well, that’s a bold-faced lie!

In the last month I’ve made a few new friends and expanded my own Social LS by a few members, everyone seems to be fitting in quite nicely. It’s going so well that I don’t even have to be on the Linkshell for events to be planned and undertaken , this itself makes me quite happy… As I do like to be involved in things, but at the same time, I do enjoy it when I’m not pivotal to everything that’s being done by the group.

A quick rundown on the progress made so far by the Linkshell

Linkshell CoP static has reached Mission 4-2: The Savage…. Also, the Linkshell mission group has reached Rank 8 in Windurst, spending little over a week doing so, and we’re hoping to finish off to rank 10 inside the next two weeks ideally, afterwards the linkshell will divert focus to getting everyone Sky Access so that we can enjoy farming stuff in sky for ourselves… That should be fun

I’m hoping that with increased activity on the LS that I’ll have more reason to keep posting here, keeping up to date with linkshell achievements and the like .

Ok, and now onto me… What exactly have I done in the last month?

Well… I managed to take my Great Katana merits from 4/8 to 8/8

I bought a Hagun for 3,250,001 gil…  lol.

I took Overwhelm from stage 2 to stage 3

And I’m only 3 organs away from completing one of these:However… getting one of those requires me to actually willingly seek out agro from a UFO in Sea…

Yeah, I actually want to fight one of these!As it is, I’m so far off being capable of defeating one of these by myself, however, I’m hopin to call on the assistance of a few friends for maybe half an hour one day and go camp me some tastey UFOs, who knows, maybe I’ll get lucky

Well in anycase, I’m tired lol, It’s been a long day and I haven’t the slightest idea why I’m listening to Linkin Park at 10 past 3 in the morning… I’m going to bed!

Ups and Downs.

One thing you’ll probably begin to notice about myself is my lack of over-all commitment to a single idea… I seriously change my mind on something like ten or fifteen times before I end up making a decision, which I often find myself going back on…

One job that has suffered to no end because of this is my Monk I seemed to have this bright idea of dragging it from Lv62 to Lv75… But alas, without the time to dedicate to it, nor the patience to deal with random pick up LevelSync parties… I scrapped it… Again… For what seems to be the 43rd time….

I don’t know if things have changed since I first started my journey through this game, when I exp’d on my Warrior back in the day, parties were thick and fast. I remember taking myself from Lv61 to Lv75 inside 10 days…

Maybe Monk is just unloved as a DD since the 2-hand weapon update came into play, I guess party leaders must look for WAR, DRK, DRG or SAM ahead of MNK…

Oh well…

None-the-less, Monk has been shelved for the time being, I may finish it one day when I manage to sum up the patience, who knows…

In anycase, onto the real reason for the name of this post… Which I guess would be back to front considering how things have gone for me in the last 2 weeks.

As you may remember from my last post, (If I remembered to mention it) that I was sitting #1 in line for Kirin’s Osode from my Sea LS and also #1 in line for Homam Manopolas from my Limbus LS. With both items almost immediately nearing my inventory I was almost giddy with anticipation as Monday turned around and my Limbus LS was gearing up to face Proto-Omega once again…

Not quite a recent fight Vs. Proto-Omega... but you get the idea...

We battled it down to 5% HP and kept it there for quite a while, farming chips if we could get so lucky from the Gunpods that spawn every 5 minutes from the MegaBoss. To be honest I was quite nervy during the battle, despite having tanked Omega loads of times before. I put that down to being over-excited about getting Homam Manopolas (Hands)… But my excitement was dashed as I kept the lootpool open as Yezz opened the chest…

Much to my disgust… we got two “Omega’s Eye”… which were the Head piece of the Homam set, which is unfortunately largely unloved because of alternative (easier to obtain) gear choices, such as Walahra Turban.

So off to bed I went after that, tired and dejected

My next day on FF was filled with a very similar feeling, coming home from work I remembered I had an event with my Sea LS: Land of Confusion in Sky, more specifically, Kirin.

Initially I was anticipating that I would more than likely, only be able to lot on one item which would have been Kirin’s Osode. We had a buyer lined up for the Dryadic Abj. Body however, much to my delight, he had decided not to show.

So in an almost too good to be true fashion, I was now staring at the posibility to net not just one, but two Kirin drops at once!

Obviously it was too good to be true… We left with just two measely Orichalcum Ingots for our efforts, barely enough to cover the cost of the popset we used on it…

And again, I was feeling dejected, having let myself get worked up not once, but twice in the space of two days…

God damn Final Fantasy XI…

Hold on…

I take that back…

Homam Manopolas Baby!

I netted these during our most recent Proto-Omega run, and god damn it, I love them! So just two weeks after being let down twice in quick succession I’ve atleast got something to be thankful and happy about

Many thanks to Innuendo Linkshell of Hades, I <3 tanking Omega… and I’m gonna <3 it even more with these shiney red gloves of victory!

Well, I’m going back to shooting things for fun in Fallout 3. Ciao!

Cooling off…

I’ve decided to cool off the amount of endgame I do, damn it gets tiring fast D:

As of this week I’ve left my Dynamis linkshell, huzzah, I’ve reclaimed 7 hours of my life  a week

As much as I’ll miss the people there, I couldn’t justify hanging around doing something I just wasn’t enjoying on one piece of gear.

From now on, I’ll convince myself that Valor Surcoat doesn’t look so damn hot…. I’ll just keep telling myself that D:

Continuing to level my MNK and merit my SAM, going strong with both jobs, and with any luck, this week, I could either have Homam Hands + Kirin’s Osode, or neither, depends how the luck with lotting / drops goes. *crosses fingers*.

I’ve also sadly left SuicideMoogles linkshell, after nearly 3 years running with them. I don’t really want to divulge too much, but the underlying reason was that I was just not interested in hanging around with them any longer, same old faces, same old stuff. Between that and a few of them not appreciating that I didn’t want to hold their hand or some crap like that…

So I’ve started my own shell, RecklessAbandon, which with my direction, should hopefully be a successful shell, dealing in one thing that SM didn’t really take to seriously and that was the over-all content of the game… whenever something got done in that LS it was usually by a handful of people and never really was something that included members when they were interested.

Even worse was finding people that were interested in doing things and getting them on at the right time…

So I decided enough was enough, I’d start my own social / mid-to-end game LS, which will bring in players, get them leveled up, ranked up, missioned up, and geared up. With events ranging from the general Nation Missions all the way to Nyzul isle and Limbus and everything in between.

That itself wouldn’t really come under the whole banner of cooling off… but at the end of the day, it’ll take months before that shell has fully developed.

hopefully there will be more news to follow this week, with any luck, I’ll have shiney new screenies of me in some new rare/ex gear

Just because!

Just because a few people I know have been asking me about it… I’ve decided to update this blog!

There won’t be many pictures for this post, If any.

OK, so lets have a look back, what was I doing last time I posted here… *takes time to read back*

H-okay! Here’s an update!

Since I last posted here, I’d just joined a Sea LS, resumed attending Limbus, had been going strong with my Dyna shell and over-all enjoying myself and kicking ass and what-not…

Well, to be honest, not much has changed in that regard. My Sea LS is doing really well, we branch out far outwith the reaches of Sea and do other events such as Kirin, BahaV2 etc, and we even go after Ace’s Helms for our members! Since that feature has been included we’ve kitted out two of the LS’s long serving members Narzoz and Menos with the helm, at an expense of 6 million gil to the LS bank per helm. The LS bank recovered from that fairly quickly though, We sold a Temperance Torque, a pair of Neptunal Abj. Bodies, and a Hope Torque along with various other gil items from Kirin and Baha to bring the LS bank back afloat, this all in the space of a week. That alone leaves me confident that the longer I run with that LS, the more I’ll enjoy myself seeing friends getting awesome gear, and myself doing the same.

Being as it is, with the possibilites that my Sea LS gives me, I’ve decided to pursue one of the most powerful items known to endgame Monks…

That item being: Obviously, obtaining this item will take some time, and a hell of a lotta patience on my part. Heck, I’ve still to do the first freekin quest in the quest line…

Oh well, moving swiftly on to… MY MNK! As it would only make sense to do so, being as I’m chasing Black Belt and all…

I decided recently to dust off the old Ochimusha Kote and Republic Subligar (What?! You aren’t a real Monk unless you wear a subligar!), and start grinding out the levels again, which has made me want to kick myself… Oh so hard… for having dropped 5 Hand-to-Hand merits a few months back… Silly me. I’m at level 64 at the moment, thanks to my friend Axeon (It’s Bob really) making me an exp party and agreeing to help me out whenever he can to push me onwards to my 4th Lv.75 job in the three and a bit years I’ve been playing.

Which actually takes me onto a rather happy note for me, as Axeon, and my cousin’s character Zalgar recently rejoined me in Vana’Diel, which is good for me, as it gives me even more people to not be able to do anything with because I’m too frackin busy with events and work D:

I lie, we do get around to the odd exp party or mission run whenever we can, and it’s always fun, which at the end of the day, is what you’re really looking for from an MMO, it’s not the grind, it’s the experience of getting somewhere or doing something with other people.

Although, the grind always carries rewards… eventually…

As it stands at the moment, I’m closing in on a considerable amount of gear for a number of my jobs and it’s seemingly coming together all at once. Which for me, is kinda freaky, as I rarely get anything I’m after when I want it…

At this point I’m #1 on the list for Kirin’s Osode if it drops from my Sea LS’s next Kirin, and #2 for Dryadic Abj. Body, should it decide to drop, these gears will give my Samurai a nice WS alternative to Haubergeon (I should really upgrade that) and the D. Body will be converted into a Shura Togi, giving my MNK one of its definitive pieces as far as TP gain is concerned. Taking us in a full circle to one of my other loved jobs, Paladin, we may see myself obtain a Valor surcoat sometime in the next month or two, the Dyna shell is tearing through zones as usual, and we’ve even managed to complete Tyrone’s Apocalypse,

with an amazing Dynamis Windurst which yeilded SEVEN 100 pieces and around 250 singles. I’m hoping our over-all success rate will give my poor Galka some shiney new clothes, his Gallant Surcoat has lost its gleam from too many battles.

Also, my dilemma about what gloves to wear on Paladin could soon be over.

I’m closing in on Homam Manopolas and hopefully Homam Cosciales to go with that.

Being as it is, however, nothing is ever straight forwards for myself

I’m currently looking to dismantle and quit my Lv.75 Warrior for good, but seemingly I might still have a use for it if I decide to take it to my new Nyzul Isle static, which has been set up by a good friend of mines, Saren, who incidently, has also arranged an Assault static which I’ve gone and gotten myself involved in…

Finally!! I’ve got a chance at getting all those rank ups and random rare gear that I want and it isn’t as much of a pain in the ass as a pick up party. Yay for that!

I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it, maybe finishing my MNK to Lv.75 will prompt the retirement of my WAR…

Well, I’ve gotta get those combat merits from SOMEWHERE don’t I?

Onwards and Upwards… To Sea?

Wow! Hey everyone, thought you’d escaped me eh?

Unfortunately, no, you haven’t, you’re stuck here, reading yet another blog post.

So why haven’t I updated in the last month…? Well… I been busy!

Between work, IRL stuff and some of the events I do on FFXI, it can be tough to find time to put the thought and energy into making a blog update… but here one is, none-the-less!

….

I suppose a quick recap on what’s happened since I last posted would be in order…

Well, me and Dave put our little adventure through the Treasure’s of Aht Urghan storyline on hold for a short time, but only because we were focusing on other things! Together with our long-time friend Chippy, we finished off the Zilart mission storyline off of the back of a pick-up party call for Storms of Fate, a quest that becomes available when you finish the Chain’s of Promathia storyline.

What this involved… was zerging Bahamut V1 down in around 23 seconds for a horrendously easy clear on the quest, then we aimed to gather for a Promyvion sliver run… Only to find out that me and dave both needed to beat Zilart Mission 16 ~ The Celestial Nexus before we could embark on the rest of our quest.

We hammered our way through a fairly bumpy battle against Eald’narche and finished off the cutscenes to take us finally onto the sliver farming… which, eventually, after about a week and a half of waiting lead us onto the climactic battle which closes the curtain on both the Chain’s of Promathia and Rise of the Zilart stories… Yea, you guessed it, we did Apocalypse Nigh!

It’s only taken me nearly 3 years on the game to finally get around to doing that… but it’s done now!

Without really giving any spoilers, I’d like to share this image with you all, I think it’s a fairly epic snap and it might whet your appetite to go and do this quest.

Yeah, it’s a nice big shiney… Crystal? In anycase, it’s just a small part of one of the more visually impressive battlefields the game has to offer.

Finishing this epic battle (which we zerged by the way, easy as pie) netted me something I’ve wanted for a very very long time, an Ethereal Earring, which brings me to the next point of this post…

My Paladin!

I’ve been encouraged to dust off the old sword and shield and don my shiney white surcoat and various other, not so shiney, armor and take my expanding experience of the Paladin job to the massive zone that is known as Sea ~ Al’Taieu. It’s in this area that I’m enjoying a lot of new things with another new event linkshell for myself, LandOfConfusion sea LS have taken me in after a successful application to them (big thanks to the guys that spoke on my behalf there ).

Unfortunately, due to timing conflicts, and myself wanting to focus on Sea over Limbus, I had to leave my limbus LS after only a few runs, which is saddening for me, because I had a few friends there, but really really wanted a new challenge in the game.

I’ve seen and beaten the best that Limbus has to offer, and going back would only be fueled by myself wanting Homam and a few select AF+1 pieces.

Incidently, given the time it’s taken me to finish the draft of this post, I’ve joined yet ANOTHER limbus LS… yeah, I’m going through them like… paper towels? idk.

We’ll just have to see if i can stick around in this one a little longer than my last few excursions, hopefully I can, I’m getting sick of staring at the same apollyon or temenos zones and rarely seeing any return on the effort I’ve invested

Back to my post!

So yeah, I’ve enjoyed my first few weeks in this Sea LS, they seem very very capable and organised, and with them I’ve had the pleasure of taking down Bahamut v2, and Sea Jailers by the bucketful, including a 20 minute Jailer of Love! I’ve even netted myself a Justice Sword to the bargain of it all, and if i can ever be bothered doing the prerequisite quest to unlock the virtue stones trade, then i’ll have a nice double-attacking weapon

Heck I’ve even met this guy as well! -> (points to absolute virtue!)

Yah, he was mean, he killed me in 2 or 3 hits, flattened a few more members of the LS then turned completely docile… kinda funny to be honest… biggest baddest monster in the game and he’s as aggressive as a little baby kitten/rabbit/puppy/koala?

In anycase, Sea has been one leg of the game I’ve branched into and really started to enjoy, the LS also makes available KS99, Bahamut v2 runs and Kirin burns as well, so hopefully within the next few weeks and months I’ll start gathering gear that was until recently, far out of my reach. Go Go Ozzy-bear!

Now onto another large part of my game at the moment, and that itself would be Dynamis with my LS RealityDynamis.

Things have really picked up for the LS in the last month or so, we’ve basically been spamming ice-lands and dream-lands after having gotten the majority of the LS their clears to allow them access to these zones, which in turn has upped the overall demand for some of the nicer armor items in the game, myself, I’m exclusively targeting a Valor Surcoat, and I’m really hoping to get it soon, From what I can tell, I’d be second on the list after one of our main tanks, Nivana.

In other news we’ve had two attempts at Tyrone’s fragment for his Apocalypse, the second resulting in a win and drop the battle itself gave us the courage to undertake that which all Dynamis LS’s are either made or broken at, some rise to the battle, others flounder… we’d already had an attempt at him, which resulted in failure, ultimately wiping at 40%.

unfortunately I wasn’t around for that one, but I got in on the second attempt, and this time we cleared it in a nice tidy fashion.

3 RDM/DRK kept him relatively under wraps, however, I did eat a Tera Slash for some obscene amount of damage, 1-shotting me after my 5th WS during the burn, fun times tho, and it’s really been a big morale boost for the LS.

So that’s been me in the last month or so, finishing the Rise of the Zilart / Chain’s of Promathia storylines and getting my Ethereal earring. Joining a Sea-LS and getting an ornamental Justice Sword, getting involved in some cool battles and Bahamut Zergs. Slapping Dynamis zones silly and racking up the LS kill-count, and our drop rates on the armor have been nice, I’ve even netted me a free-falling Saotome Kabuto, much to my disgust…I didn’t even have to lot that piece… unfortunately, It’s kinda useless as I already have an Optical hat… which covers everything that that piece offers me… I’ll keep it and put it on a mannequin or something…

Oh well, I think that’s me as far as blog updates go for this year!

Weekend in Review

Wow, what a weekend it has been for me on FF… considering I normally don’t do much at all lol.

Starting Friday… Me and Dave (Amith) decided to continue on our Treasures of Aht Urghan mission line, myself having beaten ToAU: 15 ~ The Black Coffin on Thursday evening meant that I had some catching up to do before I could join Dave on Mission 22 ~ Shield of Diplomacy, which was a rather fun fight against Khimaira of all things…

Feeling confident we swaggered in, just the two of us… and got flattened inside 2 minutes…

Out we came, and back to the drawing board… I was about ready to give up and go sleep when Dave convinced me otherwise, so we bounced back through Mt Zhayolm and Halvung and some other places till we came back to the battlefield.

Extraordinarily, this is one of the few fights in the entire game where you can more or less be a spectator and win.

After 14 minutes and not one nuke from Dave, or one swing of my sword the battle was looking rather favourable for ourselves.

Surely enough, we won the battle with very little effort at all, and proceeded to spam enter all the way through our cutscenes, we’re now sitting on ToAU Mission 29: Puppet In Peril and I’ve got a feeling we’re probably going to have our rings before Christmas!

After we’d remarked that we didn’t expect the fight to go so swimmingly, with Dave kiting and the NPC “Karababa” doing all the damage, we weren’t sure we’d complete it in time, but still had a healthy 15 mins of the 30 remaining. I went to bed

Saturday started off pretty fine, spent a few hours in an exp party, got my Samurai’s exp buffer up considerabley, from 2k to 16k in just over 1hr 45 mins, I was in good stead, prepared for Dynamis…

But! Knowing my crappy luck, ofcourse I end up havin to come as Paladin to Dynamis – Valkurm. I was supposed to be the back-up assist to Overfiend, but he kept D/C’ing during the run, so I just took over full time for the run, and for what it’s worth, I feel I did pretty good considering I’ve not main assisted in Dynamis for a good few months… Mind you, I was only doing it for like… 20 mins of the entire 1hr we were in there.

“What!? 1 Hour for Dynamis!?” I hear you say.

Yup, that’s exactly what it was, considering it was a Dreamlands run where you only get 1hr to do all the work to pop or power down the Mega-Boss, which itself grants a 1hr Time Extension. Unfortunately, we wiped on the Mega-Boss and had to give up, we tried to zerg it but got caught with a charm-ga after maybe 15 seconds of battle, barely enough time to do any damage, most of the melee alliance was dead inside the next minute and I died at 57% on the NM. Oh well, there’s always next time!

Also… Notice something not quite right about this picture? Yeah, It struck me as odd too… You can quite clearly see myself taking physical damage from the NM… DURING my Invicible… wtf? either these NM’s have new hax or secretly get formless strikes… or it was just a plain glitch caused by all the frantic action going on…

I believe after that I just logged off for the rest of the night, I was pretty much spent after several hours of running around, exping, doing missions and getting flattened by a giant Malboro in Dynamis….

And so lead into today! (Sunday)

I logged on and didn’t really have anything planned at all, so I was kinda just swanning about in Aht Urghan whitegate when I seen a friend of mines shouting for a Soboro run… so I thought to myself, what the hey! And I joined in, went as Paladin and off we went to Riverne Site B#01…

We must’ve popped 10 or 11 of those damn things… and only twice did we ever see a bloody sword… by the end of it all I was just about done expecting anything from it, I’d seen 4 pops of my own yield nothing at all… pretty crap if you ask me… I’ll get one eventually, It’s a nice Great Katana to have for the sheer novelty of having 2-3 attacks go off in the one attack round, and the posibility of 2 rounds of swings to a WS lol…

However, Trashi and Alexooi got their weapons and have both pledged to come along and help me when I’m going for it again

Surprisingly, I spent nearly 6 hours with that group, was nice to see the thing does drop and it isn’t entirely stingey

I finally rounded off my night with a spot of Limbus. My shell SeaSide are doing pretty well, I’ve only been with them for 3 runs so far, but you can tell there’s a definite level of quality amongst the players already… though that might just be because Dave’s there… j/k he’s good but he’s not THAT good.

And ofcourse, being the budding blogger as I am, I like to take screenshots of everything and anything I think looks cool or noteworthy, which results in this closing picture.

That NM was a pain in the ass to put down, quite resistant to damage… or it just simply has too much HP and Defence!

We got a nice amount of coins again, and as I’ve been doing recently, I’ve donated them to Amith again, so that he may complete his Loquacious Earring sooner rather than later

Dynamis Bubu ~ 19/11/08

Woo yea! go go 2nd Blog post!

Today I finally logged on and done something that was sorta fun and a little less meaningless than normal.

That amazing thing was…. Dynamis! Oh yea, Dynamis Buburimu to be exact. Each Wednesday and Saturday I get the pleasure of joining my comrades in RealityDynamis, this weeks run took us to the dreamlands zone of Buburimu, which is a little different and a little more difficult than ordinary city dynamis.

First of all, you’re capped at 36 entrants instead of the 64 allowed in city/icelands runs. Secondly, you are only able to access this zone if you have had the pleasure of whooping Diabolos in CoP mission 3-5, and thirdly, you enter the zone with no access to your subjob!

Luckily, the linkshell strategy overcomes the subjob hurdle fairly quickly.

Anyways, onto the run itself! Once we got our SJ’s back we pulled the first Dragon NM, Aitvaras, whooped it’s ass in double quick time, which is good, considering you start with only 1 hour and the only time extension comes from the megaboss himself (Apocalyptic Beast).

After we proceeded to lock some of the Mega Boss’s more annoying abilities it became time for us to prepare to zerg it down for our clear and some extra farming time.

The battle itself is like a miniature Dynamis Lord battle, minus the need to Chainspell~Stun it into submission.

With the Apocalyptic Beast out of our way and an hour and 15 minutes of farming time available we turned our attention directly towards the Nightmare Crabs on the beach near our camp. After only 15 minutes we’d had a shower of some rather nice and wanted loot for the LS, at one point our treasurepool was looking fit to burst:

Unfortunately, the run went kinda into a lull after that, the AF kinda dried up until the last 15 minutes or so, where we went to kill the Nightmare Ravens after a rather misfortunate spell fighting Nightmare Bunnies that resulted in a wipe due to one really unlucky link on a pull.

On the way to Raven camp I took some time to admire the view in the game, which can be rather nice to just look at from time to time, gives a nice atmosphere to a pile of pixels lol.

Hello?

My my my! my very first blog post?!

Ok, well now that we’ve introduced ourselves, it’s time for an epic back-story!

Being my first post in an FFXI centric blog it’s come a little late, after all, I’ve been playing since January 10th 2006! Soon my avatar (Ozrox) will turn the grand old age of 3!

In my time in the world of Vana’Diel I’ve met many wonderful people and even a few I’d call friends, most of my time is generally spent on my original social Linkshell “Suicide Moogles”. Don’t let the name of it fool you, we’re not all that emo!

Over time our group has dwindled down, with peoples real lives starting to take flight and we’re able to spend less and less time together on the “game”, several of us have taken to University, others have went into employment, one way or another we are hearing less and less of each other, but we never let that affect us, we’re still organising meets and days out, all in all, we’re an awesome bunch!

Anyways!

Less about my friends and more about ME!

Where do I begin? Hmmm…. Well I suppose I’d have to say… waaaaaaay back in Jan ‘06 when I first started out, as a Galka MNK! Oh how awesome I thought I was with my giant fists of fury, half naked and wearing CHR rings in my first dunes party… Oh how I wish I could’ve maintainted that nieve understanding of the game!!

Since time immemorial has passed, I’ve leveled my “toon” to dizzying heights on the various classes that Final Fantasy XI offers, reaching the upper limits of the Paladin, Samurai and Warrior classes, and aiming to round up the job I first started on, Monk!

Looking back on my time on FFXI, I’ve realised I only have one regret. That I’ve never had a blog or a journal to really get across everything that I want to say about it all! All the gripes, the joy, the crappy EXP parties and lovely loot drops, content updates and various random drama!!

I hope to use this blog to chronicle whatever adventures, (and views on stuff!) I have, and share them with you.

Well, I guess this wraps up my first blog update, lunch hour is done D: Back to work I go!
